Sustainable Development in Preventive Conservation.

The Sustainable Development Goals are still far from preventive conservation practice, perceived as abstract concepts.
Within the 169 and the 232 indicators mentioned in the Sustainable Development Goals, none are fully linked to the conservation field.
The main goal of this joint project, which partners with the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) Strategic Planning Unit, is to identify concrete links between sustainable development indicators and preventive conservation to expand sustainability within professional practice by establishing case studies and successful experiences among professionals beyond the carbon footprint and exploring possibilities for museums and collections sustainability.
As a result, we will organize an online workshop before early 2025.
