Two professionals from different parts of Europe have been invited as keynote speakers will give detailed talks:

Learning objectives of this online session.

  • Offer a broad art historical frame for applied brocade, a specific form of tin-relief decoration
  • Provide insight into the technique and materials employed for applied brocade.
  • Understanding the degradation of polychrome tin foils in the Ghent Altarpiece and
  • other medieval artworks.
  • Point out the practical and ethical problems in the treatment of applied brocade.
